Brigitte en Acción

This Spanish-language pulp spy magazine features two stories. The lead serial "Brigitte en acción" (Brigitte in Action) by Lou Carrigan follows Brigitte Montfort, a CIA agent with the code name "Baby," who leads a double life as a fashionable journalist. After being summoned from an upscale New York boutique by her handler Charles Pitzer, she is driven to a private clinic near Baltimore by her support team. There, her superior officer Cavanagh briefs her on a sensitive military matter: four exemplary officers assigned to the War Room (the "Red Telephone" hotline connecting Washington and Moscow)—Commander Maxwell Crawford, Captains Theodor Watkins and Avery Nickerson, and Sergeant Terence Ormandy—have suffered unexplained fainting spells during night shifts. Despite their impeccable records and security clearances, the CIA suspects foul play and assigns Baby to infiltrate the War Room to investigate. The second story "Sala de guerra, turno de noche" (War Room, Night Shift) is also noted. The issue is from 1976.
