Catalog Description
This Spanish-language espionage serial by Lou Carrigan follows Agent Brigitte Baby Montfort, an international spy for the CIA. The featured story, "¿Quiere usted ser espía?" (Want to Be a Spy?), opens with the shooting of Charles Alan Pitzer ("Uncle Charlie"), Brigitte's mentor and the CIA's New York Sector chief, who is found wounded in Ottawa with a bullet wound to the back. Despite preparing for a vacation to Malta, Brigitte postpones her plans and, accompanied by her friend Frankie Minello, boards a CIA helicopter bound for Ottawa to investigate Pitzer's shooting. The narrative introduces Brigitte's apartment in New York, her loyal housekeeper Peggy, and explores her relationships with colleagues while establishing the mystery of who shot Pitzer and whether his attack signals a larger conspiracy against the New York Sector. The installment concludes as Brigitte and Minello arrive near Ramseyville, Ontario, to rendezvous with a CIA vehicle for the final leg of their journey.
