Brigitte en Acción: Aniquilación
This spy thriller by Lou Carrigan follows Brigitte Montfort, a famous journalist who secretly serves as CIA agent "Baby" (N.Y. 7117). When CIA agent Jebediah Orwells is assassinated in Hong Kong by motorcycle gunshot, mysterious photographs arrive identifying the killer as Soviet MVD agent Fedor Kevichian. Brigitte refuses to believe the evidence until learning Kevichian personally—someone who knows her vendetta against those who murder her fellow agents. Rather than pursue conventional channels, Brigitte sends photographs and a single-word query ("¿POR QUÉ?") directly to Kevichian in Moscow. He responds within eighty hours with a rendezvous: Rome's Stazione Termini at 9:35 PM on July 10th. Brigitte travels to Europe and arrives at the station, where a mysterious intermediary delivers a train ticket to Naples. The narrative breaks as she boards the departing train, initiating an espionage operation of unexplained scope.
