This September 1955 issue of *Challenge for Men* features reportage and adventure narratives alongside service articles. Contents include "I Lived Among Headshrinkers of the Amazon," an eyewitness account of indigenous ceremonies; "Lifeboat to Hell," an adventure story about survival at sea; "I Found the Sunken City of Port Royal," describing underwater exploration; and "The Last Warpath," covering Modoc Indian resistance. Other pieces include "Blood Money!" on litigation, an article on wedding night advice from a psychiatrist, and "The Death of Gargantua," recounting a circus doctor's account of the famous gorilla. Features on Weimaraners, Paris strip-tease culture, and boxer Jack Johnson round out the contents. The issue includes reader letters debating flying saucers and pen-pal requests.
