*Mares Espaciales* [Space Seas] A science-fiction serial by Clark Carrados, published by Ediciones Toray in November 1972. After requesting permission to undertake space travel through bureaucratic channels, his petition is rejected by the Second Deputy Director María Donner—an intelligent young official who deduces his true intentions. Undeterred, Kevin appeals to higher authorities. A security captain visits with veiled warnings. Kevin's case escalates to First Deputy Director Anbus Moyl, administrator of planetary entertainment and distraction, who receives him in a hedonistic manner, offering wine and introducing his suggestively dressed secretary. The narrative explores themes of individual ambition against institutional control, bureaucratic resistance, and totalitarian management of human activity in a dystopian future civilization.
