Catalog Note
*El hombre que nunca nació* ("The Man Who Was Never Born"), a Spanish-language science fiction serial by Clark Carrados, depicts life aboard Satellite City 1 (C.S.1), a massive orbital station orbiting Earth at 30,000 kilometers, housing tens of thousands and serving as humanity's tool for global peace monitoring. The narrative opens with the discovery of a corpse floating in space without protective gear—a mystery that confounds authorities, as no one is missing from the station or arriving spacecraft, and fingerprint records show the man never entered the facility. Medical examiners find him of mixed racial heritage, approximately thirty-five, with no external injuries beyond vacuum exposure. Dubbed "the man who was never born," the cadaver presents an impossible puzzle. The excerpt then shifts to a parallel action sequence featuring operative Harry Wildare, armed with an energy-shield projector and camera, who intercepts assassin Groff Thurmond attempting to kill a target using a specialized silent rifle with dissolving toxin projectiles. Wildare captures Thurmond and records the encounter on film.
