Búsqueda Estelar / Search the Dark Stars By John E. Muller, translated by F. Cazorla. Science fiction. Darrel Kain, a second-grade mutant with hypernormal mental powers, escapes from the planet Stanarta Major in a stolen commercial spacecraft after participating in a bombing attack—using experimental "mental bombs"—against the Central Laboratories and Military Headquarters of the tyrannical New Empire ruled by Escario Gundaarson. A dozen advanced police vessels pursue him through space using curved-flight technology. Despite Kain's superior intellect and telepathic abilities, the Empire's police have equipped their officers with special helmets protecting against mutant mental powers. Surrounded and outgunned, Kain is forced to land on the dark side of the planet. He exits his vessel armed with a nuclear pistol, determined to fight despite overwhelming odds, preparing to deploy his hypnotic mental faculties against the approaching officers converging from all directions under powerful searchlights.
