Confidential Detective Cases (April 1960, Vol. 10, No. 6) is a true-crime periodical featuring seven short investigative accounts. "Big-Time Mob Leader and the Blonde Murder Jinx" describes a woman whose association brings bad luck to organized crime figures, culminating in her involvement with racketeer Little Augie. "She Stabbed Him—Rather Than Share Him!" depicts a knife murder during a jealous rage. "Back-Door Lover's Double-Death Revenge" involves a judge's wife and town gossip ending in violence. "Ohio's Passion Killing: Torch-Slayer Hellcat" recounts arson-murder. "Parade of the Grave-Bound Redheads" chronicles a man named Frankie who promised women marriage then murdered them. "Jealous Fury Kills the Night-Club Hostess" and "The Dames All Die for Me!" document violent crimes motivated by jealousy and deception. The issue also includes a photo feature, "Calling All Cars," and "Meet the Devil's Sister" by Walter Byrne, describing a woman's involvement in murders in a basement.
