Doc Savage Magazine, 'Locura Azul'

"Locura azul" (Blue Madness) This Spanish-language Doc Savage adventure, authored by Kenneth Robeson, opens in an Andean mountain city where approximately two hundred thousand citizens gather for the dedication of a free hospital erected in honor of Doc Savage, the "bronze man" of the title. Disguised Tibetan bandits led by the cunning Domingo Loo—who carries concealed weapons including a modified pistol, gas grenades, and restraints beneath a colorful poncho—infiltrate the crowd with sinister intent. They fear the "blue meteor," a phenomenon apparently connected to Doc Savage. A desperate American woman named Rae Stanley, daughter of Professor Stanley, urgently seeks Doc Savage to warn him of danger related to the blue meteor, confiding in Monk (chemist Andrew Blodgett Mayfair) and Ham (attorney Theodore Marley Brooks), members of Savage's team. She flees after spotting someone named Shrops. The narrative introduces various characters including a cockney-accented man, and continues the mystery of the blue meteor threat.
