Dream Quest, Volume 1, Number 1

Dream Quest #1, published irregularly from Pasadena, California at 10¢ per copy, is an amateur fantasy and science fiction magazine edited by Don Wilson with associate editor Howard Miller. Contents include Jack Speer's essay "Through with Rule and Line" examining philosophical approaches to science fiction; Rick Sneary's report on the 1948 Fan Convention; Joe Kennedy's "Fandom of the Past"; reviews by Ben Moskowitz and Gilbert Swenson of professional publications including *Dark of the Moon* (an Arkham House poetry anthology); and Gilbert Swenson's column "Swimming the Subs." The magazine features poems by Marijane Nuttall, editorial commentary titled "The Gas Jet," a letters department called "Cave of the Winds," and an appeal for reader contributions.
