Dream Quest, Volume 1 (Pre-Series #1), 1947 This amateur science fiction fanzine contains fiction, articles, poetry, and reader departments. The lead story is "The Dream Quest of the Unknown Cadaver" by Gordon Elliott (marked as the first of many parts), followed by "Metmorphudite" by Eric Frank Bustle van Couvering. Nonfiction includes "The Fourth Dimension and Beyond" by Joe J. Fortier and "Logic in Scientifiction" by Ralph Milne Mankey (both reprinted with permission from other sources). Poetry selections include "Pilgrim," "Swim in a Moonlit Stream," and "Mirror" by Marijane Nuttall. Regular departments feature "Peabody's Futurescope" (a humorous time-travel narrative), "Heinlein in the Post" reviewing recent Heinlein magazine stories, book dealer reminiscences, and reader letters.
