Duke: La sentencia del doctor muerte

This eighth Duke Straley adventure by J. Figueroa Campos (pseudonym of José Mallorquí) opens with a police action crime plot. Millionaire New York detective Duke Straley, assisted by his fiancée Susana Cortiz and Police Chief Max Mehl, attends the execution of criminal Tony Corbin at Sing Sing prison. Corbin, who killed a federal agent during arrest, faces electrocution. However, a vigilante calling himself "Doctor Death" has threatened to strike during the execution. The killer has already murdered three federal agents with knife wounds in revenge for their kills of criminals. Doctor Death's cryptic note references Straley specifically. As Duke and his team arrive at the prison with federal agents Owen-Irish and Pomeroy, they prepare to prevent the promised attack. The narrative details Duke's advanced automobile with bulletproof armor, self-sealing tires, smoke screens, and automatic collision avoidance, before following the group through Sing Sing's double security gates toward the death chamber.
