El Dragón de Fuego: En la Región de las Nieves
"El dragón de fuego" (The Fire Dragon) *Chapter One: "Un enemigo menos" (One Enemy Less) and Chapter Two: "Horas terribles de angustia" (Terrible Hours of Anguish)* A serial adventure narrative in Spanish, authored by Fidel Prado Duque. Three protagonists—Karus (a professor), Regis (his servant), and Kao (a Chinese youth)—navigate hostile terrain near Tibet while evading pursuers from two rival factions: the "Blue Lotus" sect and "The Fire Dragon." After witnessing river battles where these groups clash, the trio discovers an enemy vessel. Kao reconnoiters it alone, kills a guard, locates weapons and provisions, then helps Regis eliminate a Mongol sentry by luring him from his post. They sabotage other boats in a hidden cove, commandeer a sturdy vessel, and begin rowing upriver toward Lhasa. The narrative emphasizes survival against mounting hazards—cold, difficult rapids, and relentless pursuit—as they escape toward mountainous regions where snow and terrain provide natural barriers.
