"Hong Kong Rock" (Indiana James, 1985)
This Spanish-language pulp adventure recounts the first adventure of reporter Indiana James. The narrative opens with James's characterization—a man whose distinctive name provokes various psychological reactions in acquaintances. He encounters Honey Campbell, an American woman in rural Ireland searching for her ancestral roots, inspired by the television series *Roots*. Despite her relentless questioning and conventional tastes, they become romantically involved during a storm in Innishgal.
Three years later in New York, James experiences mysterious migraines and inexplicable thoughts of Honey. Attempting to contact her using the phone number she provided, he discovers the number is false. That night, Honey suddenly appears at his apartment building, terrified and pursued by armed men in white uniforms arriving in military jeeps. The assailants fire on them as James and Honey flee through the rain-soaked streets of Greenwich Village. The narrative ends mid-action as they escape their mysterious pursuers.
