Catalog Note *Puños Invencibles* (Lou Carrigan, 1977) is the forty-fifth installment in Editorial Bruguera's *¡Kiai!* martial arts pulp series. The story opens with Masao Mori, a young Japanese martial artist, arriving at Honolulu International Airport with a coded message for a contact named Taiko Fujii, identified by a split photograph. At the airport bar Wai-Wai, Mori meets an attractive Hawaiian woman who is actually working for rival Japanese operatives. She leads him to a delivery van where he discovers a beaten local woman, Jennifer Kalaima, forced to set the trap. Confronted by armed men including one named Seigo, Mori refuses to reveal his message's contents. When Seigo attempts to intimidate him, Mori employs martial arts techniques—described in precise Japanese terminology—to fatally strike Seigo and neutralize another assailant, establishing himself as a formidable fighter despite his deceptively mild appearance.
