Club Women's Records of Alberta This is a commemorative publication by the Calgary Press Club documenting women's organizations and achievements in Alberta. The volume contains a foreword by editor Daisy MacGregor explaining the project's goal to publicize the work of women's groups in the province and serve as a reference for their progress. The catalog includes biographical sketches of pioneering Alberta women in government and public service: Mrs. Louise Crummy McKinney and Roberta MacAdams (elected to the legislature in 1917), Mrs. Arthur Murphy and Mrs. R.R. Jamieson (appointed police magistrates in 1916), Mrs. W.J. Gale (elected to Calgary city council in 1917), and Dr. Evelyn Windsor Leacock (first woman physician sent overseas by the Department of Militia in 1916).
