This magazine issue contains a substantial collection of serialized novels and short stories spanning domestic, historical, and supernatural fiction. The primary serial is E. L. Alldridge's "The Tower Gardens," a fifteen-chapter narrative featuring characters including Jessie, Arnold Birkett, and Mac Carruthers, progressing through settings like Knowe Farm and Birrendale. Lady Margaret Majendie contributes the serial "Broken Ideals" (chapters 1-5) and the standalone "Dead Sea Fruit." Other notable fiction includes Mrs. Henry Wood's "The Scapegoat," Walter Richards's "The King against Trevor," and Elizabeth M. Moore's "Little Mrs. Bramston." Nonfiction pieces by Charles W. Wood, F.R.G.S., cover travel and natural subjects, including illustrated articles on Kissingen spa and healing waters. The issue also features illustrated pieces on historical topics like Kenilworth Castle and Robin Hood, alongside numerous poems and a varied selection of shorter fiction exploring themes of social relationships, transformation, and supernatural experience.
