Munsey's Magazine, Volume 28
· October 1902–March 1903

Volume XXVIII of this periodical contains a mix of articles, serials, short stories, and poetry. Special articles cover historical and contemporary topics including architecture (Blenheim Palace, Manhattan evolution), institutions (Westminster Abbey, British Academy), and social commentary on matrimony, heraldry, and maritime commerce. Notable pieces address early American medicine, African princes, Russian czars, opera, and alpine climbing.
Three serials run across multiple issues: John Oxenham's "Barbe of Grand Bayou" (340, 531, 691), Max Pemberton's "Gold Wolf" (54, 210, 403, 563), and Frederick Upham Adams's "John Burt" (183, 308, 468, 631, 791), plus Louise Kennedy Mabie's "True Love of Aaron Burr."
Short stories cover domestic and adventure themes—tales of romance, inheritance disputes, and emotional dilemmas. Storiettes include frontier narratives ("Sheriff of Aioe"), romantic plots ("Love Story of an Ugly Girl"), and period pieces. Poetry contributors include established names like Edgar Fawcett and Grace MacGowan Cooke, addressing themes of love, nature, and philosophical reflection.
