Catalog Note
This December 1953 French pulp magazine issue contains three novellas and three short stories of crime and adventure fiction. "Of Love and Bullets" by Larry Holden follows a courier hired to deliver fifty thousand dollars in bonds to an eccentric millionaire's ex-wife in Florida, warned she is dangerous. "The Ship of the Damned" by John Haviland concerns a crew of criminals and outlaws. "Death Hovers Over the Orchestra" by Albert Simmons features a jazz-loving detective. Short stories include Richard Demming's tale of an electric chair specialist, Fletcher Flora's story of two women and one man, and John Bender's "Mortuary Apartment." The issue also includes Manly Wade Wellman's science fiction story "Space Is Ours" about two travelers on an extraordinary journey, alongside factual articles on forensic science by Maurice Tondu and criminal cases by Emmanuel Car, plus editorial columns on crime and film.
