Aventura en Kenya
Catalog Note "Aventura en Kenya," by George Bound, is the sixty-second issue of the TAM-TAM weekly collection, published by Editorial Bruguera in 1983. The narrative begins with siblings Fernando and Angela competing on a Spanish television game show hosted by Rosa María, where contestants choose between mystery prizes. After initially selecting poorly and nearly losing everything, they win a fifteen-day safari trip to Kenya. The story then follows Angela at her office job as she arranges the trip, obtains travel permits from her supervisor Luis (who harbors romantic feelings for her), and prepares practical matters with her brother. Angela declines Luis's romantic overtures, citing his dishonesty about a prior engagement. The final chapters detail pre-departure preparations: obtaining visas, vaccinations against cholera and yellow fever, acquiring medications, and securing currency. The narrative emphasizes both the excitement and apprehension Angela experiences facing an unfamiliar African environment.
