"The Lost Special" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle presents a non-Sherlock Holmes detective tale, while "Death in the King's Room" by Sax Rohmer features a protagonist other than Fu Manchu. Additional stories include "Error at Daybreak" by Carter Dickson, "The Reluctant Victim" by Lawrence Treat, and "The Brain Workers" by Charteris featuring the Saint.
