The Phantagraph, Vol. 4, No. 4

This July 1936 issue of The Phantagraph, a monthly fan magazine for fantasy and science-fiction enthusiasts, contains H.P. Lovecraft's poem "Nostalgia" about migratory birds searching for a sunken shore they remember only in dreams. Robert Nelson contributes "Lost Excerpts: The Flinging of the Rocks," a lyrical prose passage depicting a golden-haired figure hurling rocks of happiness that transform the cosmos into mad jubilation. William Lumley offers the poem "A Dream," describing a narrator's encounter with a veiled image beside a golden river in a measureless hallway. An article by Duane W.
