Catalog Note This issue of *Weird Tales* features "The Werewolf of Ponkert," a complete novelette attributed to the magazine's serialization. The story, framed as a translation of a medieval Latin manuscript discovered by the narrator in a French tavern, recounts the first-person confession of Wladislaw Brenryk, a Hungarian merchant. The narrative follows Brenryk's prosperous life as a silk and sword-hilt merchant in the town of Ponkert, culminating in a terrifying homeward sleigh journey after closing his shop with a large sum of gold. Pursued by an enormous wolf pack across an icy river, Brenryk experiences inexplicable episodes of paralyzing terror. The OCR degrades severely at the climactic attack scene. The issue also advertises "Black Medicine," a Haitian voodoo novelette by Arthur J.
