This document is a Project 10073 Record Card (ATIC Form 329), a UFO sighting report form, not a pulp magazine. It contains a witness account of an aerial phenomenon observed approximately 7:55 P.M. D.S.T. near Somerset, Pennsylvania. The witness, driving northward, observed a golden vapor trail on the western horizon with a brilliant object at its southern end. Using 7×50 Zeiss binoculars, the witness tracked the trail for approximately 15 seconds before it rapidly disintegrated. No object remained at the trail's terminus. The witness then observed a separate golden light farther north, estimated over 10 miles distant, before it vanished. The trail appeared thread-sized at arm's length. The official evaluation concluded the sighting was a contrail. The OCR degradation makes the handwritten comments section largely illegible.
