This document is a Project 10073 UFO report card from the U.S. Air Force, dated March 1959, filed from Hicksville, New York. The sighting involved a single object described as star-shaped (sometimes appearing large) and lemon-shaped, bright white that turned reddish as it faded. The observer, identified as a machinist, reported the object moving from north to west, observable for one hour. Ground visual observation occurred during night conditions with clear skies and fifteen-mile visibility. The object was tracked from azimuth 320 degrees elevation 50 degrees to azimuth 320 degrees elevation 35 degrees before fading. The investigating Air Force officer, Cape Robert N. Nagel, concluded the sighting most likely represented a bright planet rather than an unidentified aerial phenomenon.
