This catalog consists of U.S. Air Force UFO investigation documents (Project 10073) and astronomical data, circa January–February 1961. The first section documents a January 30, 1961 sighting near Keflavik, Iceland: two F-89 pilots at 20,000 feet observed a bright silver, match-head-sized round object at 45 degrees above wing level. The object appeared moving slightly westward before being lost when the aircraft changed heading; observation duration was 5 minutes. Base weather, control tower, and radar operators could not corroborate the sighting. Weather analysis ruled out balloon origin. A separate section lists 17 UFO sightings from February 1–15, 1961 across multiple locations (Massachusetts, Germany, California, Nevada, Alaska), with most evaluations concluding astronomical origins (Venus, meteor, stars), satellites, or insufficient data. Additional material details civilian sightings, including a January 22 report of a cigar-shaped metallic object photographed over the Gulf of Mexico by a store manager, and a Greenfield, Massachusetts report of a large low-flying object with white and red lights. Final pages analyze a dramatic fireball meteor sighting over southern California on January 16, 1961, tracked by the American Meteor Society and University of Southern California astronomers.
