The document records an aerial observation made by two pilots aboard a P2V-7 aircraft near Kodiak, Alaska. Lieutenant T.C. Adams and Aircrewman R.L. Moore reported sighting a round luminous object that appeared to burst into multiple fragments descending at roughly 136 degrees, moving slower than typical meteorites. The object displayed reddish coloration and tumbling motion. Observers disagreed on fragment count (4 versus 12-14) and visibility duration (6 versus 2 seconds). The intelligence officer's conclusions suggest meteorite, pyrotechnics, or satellite reentry, while noting observations inconsistent with standard meteor behavior. No radar target was held; subsequent aircraft search found nothing.
