This document is not a pulp magazine but a military intelligence record card from Project 10073 (the U.S. Air Force's UFO investigation program, later renamed Project Blue Book). Dated May 1962, it documents a sighting reported by the SS Washington Bear off the coast, involving four-engine jet aircraft with swept-back wings and red markings observed at 0200 GMT on 5/11. The aircraft passed 100 feet above the ship's surface, climbed steeply, and flew parallel at 250 knots. A second aircraft displayed a red star on its tail. The record includes classification routing to naval and air force commands across the Pacific theater. The final evaluation marked the sighting as "no threat" and "not identified" in available aircraft records (SMB).
