Museum Catalog Note This Spanish-language serial Western adventure, "Siguiendo una Pista" (Following a Trail) by Fidel Prado, depicts the capture of Brigham Young, the Mormon patriarch, by Texas and his companions Nino (a Mexican) and Born (a government agent). After debating whether to execute or imprison Young—Texas argues imprisonment will prevent his becoming a martyr—they send him under armed guard to Salt Lake City. The three then pursue Zenker, a mysterious antagonist, into a canyon. Texas discovers an ornate metal chest (belonging to Young) that has been forced open with dynamite, containing a sapphire ring. Born and Nino have already descended and followed Zenker's trail, leaving a note directing Texas to continue pursuing them. The narrative shifts to Zenker's perspective as he escapes down the canyon following his own fall and survival, now hunted by all factions and carrying supplies from his captured horse.
