Trinidad and Tobago Blue Book, 1925
This document is a 1922 Blue Book (government statistics compilation) for Trinidad and Tobago, published by the Government Printing Office in Port-of-Spain in 1928. The contents are administrative and statistical in nature: sections detail colonial taxes, customs duties, revenue and expenditure reports, asset and liability statements, legislation, political franchise information, civil establishment details, education statistics, population and vital statistics, ecclesiastical returns, hospitals, asylums, gaols, railways, ports, currency, and meteorological observations. The customs duties schedule specifies preferential and general tariffs for imported goods including animals, apparel, beer, biscuits, carriages, chemicals, clocks, coffee, and cutlery. This is archival administrative documentation, not pulp fiction.
