Selección Terror: Después del Horror

This Spanish-language pulp thriller, issue 337 in the "Selección Terror" collection, follows "Después del Horror" (After the Horror) by Ada Coretti. The narrative begins in the coastal English town of Wes-Westley, where wealthy Jack Randell has returned after making his fortune, bringing his ten-year-old daughter Melissa. When Randell announces that his cousin Miriam and orphaned Errol (son of his deceased best friend) will join the household, Melissa reacts with violent jealousy. During a confrontation, she claws Errol's face with her deliberately grown fingernails—intended for a school play witch role—permanently blinding him. Twelve years later, Melissa and the now-adult Errol have developed mutual love, but Jack Randell opposes their union, wanting Melissa to marry into nobility. Detective Jean Doone arrives disguised as a house administrator at the request of Robert Frager, the former administrator, who fears Jack Randell's obsessive opposition will result in murders. Frager predicts deaths but cannot identify the killer.
