Barry reveals to Vanessa his knowledge of a cursed artifact: two solid-gold fangs, ten centimeters long, originating from a demonic statue in an ancient satanic temple. According to legend, the fangs bring death to successive owners in mysterious circumstances—a chain beginning with whoever rescued them from the temple's ruins and continuing through each subsequent possessor, now culminating in Jenkins's death. Vanessa dismisses this as mere superstition, though Barry insists the evidence is compelling.
