Doc Savage: El Otro Mundo
This Spanish-language Doc Savage serial, "La Piel Misteriosa" (The Mysterious Skin), follows the arrival of a mysterious aviator named Décimo Tercio in St. Louis. Landing near a farm, Tercio kills an aggressive bull with an atlatl, then appears at the fur market offering twenty-seven pelts of an unknown, extraordinarily luxurious animal at five thousand dollars each. He claims he has killed and skinned every specimen of the species, making these the only pelts in existence. Tercio's strange appearance—metal boots, leather garments, awkward English—attracts the attention of fur trader Two Wink Danton, who recognizes the pelts match samples he holds from two men who offered rewards for similar furs. Two Wink telegraphs Arnold Columbus and Wilmer Fancife in New York. The narrative then shifts to a violent airplane fight between two passengers—the young, muscular Columbus and the heavyset Fancife—who battle brutally upon recognizing each other mid-flight over St. Louis before Fancife escapes by taxi.
