Indiana James: El Tesoro de Garden Fly

This Spanish-language pulp adventure serial, "El tesoro de Garden Fly" (The Treasure of Garden Fly), features Indiana James, a treasure hunter traveling through Canada with Gronk, a large indigenous man who mimics his every action and follows him persistently despite repeated attempts at separation. After a chance encounter in Vancouver, James reluctantly accepts Gronk as his partner. Seeking funding for their treasure hunt, James contacts El Alacrán (The Scorpion), a small, bald crime boss operating from a New Westminster dive bar, through mutual acquaintance Marjorie. El Alacrán offers employment aboard a whaling ship called "Shalla-La" under Captain Hu Kanato, with wages paying off a falsified passport and job arrangement costing one thousand dollars. When James hesitates, El Alacrán's leather-jacketed thugs attempt to force compliance. James defeats them in hand-to-hand combat, impressing El Alacrán, who respects his survival and confirms the deal at the stated price.
