Museum Catalog Description This July 1929 issue of *Science Wonder Stories* (Volume X, No. 2) contains several science fiction serials and nonfiction pieces. "The Alien Intelligence" by Jack Williamson appears in part one of a two-part series, while Irving Lester and Fletcher Pratt conclude "The Reign of the Ray." Additional fiction includes "The Boneless Horror" by David H. Keller, M.D., and "The Menace from Below" by Harl Vincent. The issue features an editorial by Hugo Gernsback on gravitation, and begins Captain Hermann Noordung's two-part article "The Problems of Space Flying," which explores gravitational effects across celestial bodies. Also included: a science knowledge questionnaire, science news briefs, reader letters, and a contest soliciting essays on what science fiction means. A cover illustration by Paul depicts an applicaton of gravitational principles.
