The Argosy, Vol. 60

This December 1895 issue of *The Argosy* continues Sydney Hopkin's serial novel *When Leaves Were Green*, Chapter LVI-LVII. The narrative centers on the dying Sib Maitland at Lupton, who extracts a promise from her cousin Blanche to locate George D'Eyncourt before her death, unaware he has already perished. Blanche, bearing this devastating secret, struggles with her obligation to maintain the deception. Overhearing this, Sib dies of shock. Chapter LVII shifts to Glyn regaining strength at Firwolds with his friend Forbes, as legal obstacles dissolve following D'Eyncourt's death and property matters progress toward settlement.
