SUPER-SCIENCE FICTION (Vol. 3, No. 4, June 1959) This issue features space-exploration horror and science fiction. The lead story is Russell Thompson's "Terror of the Undead Corpses," set on Venus. Cadet Davies, patrolling the grounded MSV #3 spacecraft, is attacked by an alien creature and found dead at dawn—his corpse grotesquely desiccated despite gaining five pounds. Autopsy by Captain Langdon and ship's physician Sutton reveals the body cavity and lungs filled with a gelatinous translucent substance, suggesting the blood plasma and lymph were somehow converted. The story explores medical horror through clinical observation. Other stories include Richard F.
