This issue of *Every Other Friday* contains six Western stories. "Six-Gun Pie" by James P. Olsen follows aging cowboy Waspy Kevin, a former hell-raiser whose health fails until Bill Devlin gives him his own spread on Storm Flats. Waspy establishes the Three Links brand with fifty head, but immediately conflicts with neighboring ranchers Gus Nero and Tate Gar, who have been illegally grazing their cattle on his land. When Waspy discovers they've stolen two of his yearlings to sell to a butcher, he confronts them in Gunsight. Nero punches the aging Waspy to the ground—though the text cuts off mid-scene. Other featured stories include Stephen Payne's "Boss of the Longhorn" about Bun Weaver's gunfight against treachery, Tom Gunn's "Lead Lingo" with Lee Arnold delivering peace through gunsmoke, Samuel Taylor's "The Long Play" involving a father's murder, William Fargo's "Gunsmoke Setup," and John Bennett's "Slick Hombre" about Ben Gaye committing a perfect crime. The issue also advertises Albert Richard Wetjen's South Seas serial "Shark Gotch's" further adventures.
