When Billy discovers Ed is raiding neighboring herds, a gunfight erupts. Billy defeats Ed's men, but an approaching norther storm becomes the story's climactic threat. "Spider Gold" by James Francis Dwyer involves Dutch naturalist Jan Kromhout observing spider migrations in the jungle, allegedly connected to native treasure legends.
