This comic adapts the 1948 Sierra Pictures film about Joan of Arc, starring Ingrid Bergman. The story follows Joan as she encounters the Dauphin at court, where she recognizes him despite an attempt to fool her with an imposter named Clermont. After Joan helps secure the Dauphin's coronation as King Charles VII, she is later arrested and tried for witchcraft and heresy, with judges and soldiers demanding her submission. Facing execution, Joan ultimately signs papers of submission and is promised a church prison, guided by a priest as she makes her mark.
