Abbott and Costello help a distressed woman whose crate has arrived C.O.D., and they agree to deliver it to her home on Bay Street. Upon finding an old prospector's shack with a skeleton inside, Abbott becomes convinced it's a treasure map showing the location of buried gold, while Costello remains skeptical. After discovering a map in the skeleton's hand and misinterpreting its markings, the duo attempts to locate the treasure, only to have their efforts repeatedly backfire in slapstick fashion. The story culminates in a musical performance where Abbott and Costello attempt to conduct a orchestra playing "Moonlight Sonata," resulting in chaos when their conducting causes an explosion.
