"Case of the Spectral Schoolboy" recounts how a boy murdered by a brutal schoolhouse employee in 1859 returns as a ghost to haunt the Massachusetts schoolhouse, with his spectral presence causing inexplicable disturbances that terrify the staff and students. The issue also features Pierre Remy's return from five years of studying occult medicine, during which he uses supernatural secrets to achieve power through a magical transformation, before meeting a gruesome end in an underground tomb.
