This anthology issue contains at least two stories: "Mystery of the Marie Celeste," which recounts the eighty-year-old historical mystery of the American ship whose entire crew vanished without explanation in 1872, revealing that a phantom woman from beyond the grave—an evil soul that possessed a crystal ball—was responsible for luring the crew to their doom; and "True Zombies of History," which details the legend of Hugo Ormsbeck, a dread alchemist in medieval Ascha who practiced dark wizardry and created a zombie, only to be pursued by vengeful townspeople after his daughter mysteriously disappeared.
