This issue is an anthology containing at least two stories. "The Robot" features Professor Martin Chesterton, whose design for a mechanical man controlled by mental command is stolen by a criminal and used in a heist; the robot ultimately destroys the thief's papers and escapes on its own. A second story depicts sailors aboard a ship who encounter a sea serpent after one crew member challenges another to prove his courage by commanding the creature, resulting in a dangerous confrontation with the beast.
