Airboy Comics v7 #2

Airboy leads a desperate battle against great apes that vastly outnumber his forces on a clifftop, with the thumbless people providing artillery support as the apes push steadily higher. After hours of fierce fighting, Airboy encourages his allies to hold the line while reinforcements arrive. Meanwhile, the villain Yermak drowns in a river while fleeing after his defeat, and a mysterious prophecy surrounding his death is later fulfilled when his body is recovered and given a warrior's burial by his people, while a great ape head begins to move in the floodwaters below.
