This is an anthology comic featuring humor stories centered on the teenage character Algie Adams. "Algernon's Automatic Laundry" depicts Algie's mishap when he attempts to use a new self-operating laundry machine that malfunctions catastrophically, destroying his house and competing with a neighbor's laundry service. "Gramps' Zero Hour" follows Algie's conversation with his grandfather Gramps about being a dismal failure—broke and unable to take his girlfriend Jennifer out—leading to Gramps sharing a story about his own first job where he and coworkers suggested digging a well but found no water. "Algie: Nurse to You" shows Algie's mother bringing in a visiting nurse for a preliminary checkup, after which Algie and his friends humorously debate whether they need a doctor or nurse and send the nurse away on house calls.
