This anthology issue features "The Fighting Yank," who investigates a bizarre blinding light and strange effect at a war plant, discovering that a Nazi operative named the Miner and his accomplice have kidnapped a woman named Virginia and are using a paralyzing gas. The Yank pursues the Miner through the city streets, using his magnetic powers to magnetize himself to buildings and chase the villain, ultimately defeating him and rescuing Virginia and his companion Doc Strange.
