The Hawk, a U.S. Marshal, is dispatched to Armadillo Flats to pursue a notorious outlaw named Reb Sutton who leads a band of desperadoes committing cattle rustling, murder, and other crimes across the territory. After a week of pursuit, the Hawk closes in on his quarry and confronts the gang near their destination. The issue also includes "Blood Brothers," a story about Apache Indians in the Arizona desert region who face starvation when buffalo migrate north, forcing them to rely on a meager food supply of rabbits while waiting for spiritual guidance on their survival.
