"Target and the Targeters" follows three trouble-shooters—Niles Reed, Tom Brown, and Dave Foster—who wear flexible metal bullet-proof vests as protection while undertaking dangerous assignments. In the visible story pages, the trio participates in a high-speed boat race where one driver shoots at Niles Reed to slow him down, forcing Reed to zigzag and drop back; the team then uses sandbags to incapacitate the gunner. The narrative shifts to a Western setting where Kid Montana confronts outlaws, ultimately defeating them in a gunfight before departing town, with one character noting the townspeople's failure to support him against the criminals.
