Atom the Cat #15

In "Glittering Success" (Part 2), Atom the Cat confronts a group of hostile characters who warn "Death to Atom!" and refuse to welcome him, forcing the cat to flee from their threatening presence. A ladder accident sequence follows, in which Mr. Wicker attempts to warn Atom about the bad luck of walking under a ladder, but the falling ladder nearly strikes the man instead, and Atom saves him from harm. The issue also includes a massive 8,000-prize giveaway contest offering numerous items including paint sets, record players, guitars, dolls, and other merchandise for children.
